Listowel Writers’ Week is a great festival for writers and readers of all levels. Situated in Co. Kerry, it has been running for just over 40 years and this year it takes place from the 29th of May to the 2nd of June, with events and workshops filling the schedule, from mornings to late into the evening.

It has a wide range of activities from talks, walks, book launches, films and debates. It will be attended by professional writers, newbies and everyone in between. If you are interested in reading or writing, it is certainly an event to go see, for a few hours, or for the full week. Take a look at their website www.writersweek.ie for a full list of all the events and information on how to buy tickets. There are still some tickets available but most the events are now sold out. It is a very popular festival and when you look at the daily programme you will see why. We plan on attending several events throughout the week.

This year Lettertec / selfpublishbooks.ie is proud to be a sponsor of the festival. As part of this, we will be running an informal publishing clinic. The event takes place on Thursday, the 30th of May, in the lower restaurant of the Listowel Arms Hotel between 12 pm and 2 pm.

During this time, you can call over to us with questions about the self-publishing process, printing, pricing and see samples of books that we have previously printed so that you can see the quality that can be produced.  Fionnuala Williamson, our main project publishing manager, will be delighted to meet you and answer any questions or queries that you might have.

We will also be giving out free copies of our Get Published Now!!  our very detailed and easy guide for writers’ groups or individuals, this will further help you on your path to publication. Perhaps, most importantly, there will be tea and possibly some biscuits for you. What writer can function without these key products?

No matter what stage you are at in your publishing process, you are welcome and invited to meet with us. If you have everything ready, we might be able to give you price guidelines, if you are just starting on your journey, we might be able to give you some advice or tips to help you on your way.

No need to book or get a ticket for this event, just turn up and have a chat, or just take a way a copy of our Get Published Now!! book.

Alternatively, if you can’t make it, feel free to ring the factory or email us with questions or for a quote.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
