We at selfpublishbooks print a lot of different types of books, from poetry collections, short stories, novels and local history books. However, we also print books that challenge the mind and add to the knowledge of `the academic world. Although it is not economically feasible for us to design and print a few copies of a thesis or research project, it can be beneficial for us to do a small print run of one. Especially if the author, editor or supervisor believes that there is sufficient interest out there for it.

In the course of Robert’s research, he noticed that there is little coherence in the international debate on rituals in education. In the book, he provides a comprehensive overview about the instruments that are suggested for ritual analysis of education from an English and German background.

Robert’s book is a comprehensive overview on theory of rituals in school. He compares the ritualised practices of mainstream schools and free alternative schools.

When he is not researching and writing, Robert spends his time on a vast range of hobbies and activities such as; gardening, woodwork, web-maintenance, playing the cello, jogging, playing handball, designing newsletters and organising public talks.
