About the book

This book focuses on Sunbeam Wosley, with some consideration of its predecessor, the Cork Spinning and Weaving Company. Two companies which provided employment for thousands of people in Cork, both companies were located at Millfield. The successor to the Cork Spining and Weaving Company, Sunbeam Wolsey was owned and run by a family dynasty, the Dwyers, who faced great adversity and difficulty in challenging economic times.

About the author:

Jennifer Moynihan who is from Farranree in Cork CIty, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Celtic Civilisation, a Higher Diploma in Arts in Archaeology and a Masters in Local History. She has contributed an article to the UCC mature Students Society book on Celebrating Ten years of the Mature Students Society.
